A genius video with Rooney Mara by Alex Prager on view on the New York Times, demonstrating why you should never trust those with lower lash falsies. The short film is amazing in its simplicity and visceral iconography of Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. I think I watched this video 10 times before I snapped out of it.
It’s one of a series of miniature performances by Oscar contenders, directed by Prager—some are eery, others a little contrived but the comprised efforts makes an excellent cabinet of curios.
My other favorite is Mia Wasikowska as a home-wrecker, the nonchalance she exudes in the flick of her cigarette and her saucy axe wielding saunter is just down right chilling.
